They abandoned us!!!! Prior to booking, I had spoken with someone to assure they could pick us up and transport to our hotel in Berlin - so rather than change trains due to work on the tracks, we booked this transfer as we were traveling 6 hrs by train with large luggage for 3 weeks in Europe. They agreed to pick us up at the Berlin Lichtenberg train station. While in route on the train to our destination. I started to receive emails “Urgent” “we do not see your train number in Munich… I sent back a reply that we did not book for Munich.but was for the Berlin Lichtenberg Station to Berlin hotel ! Then I get another message that their “dispatchers cannot find my train number”. This is 2.5 - 3 hrs before arrival. I sent them a copy of our train ticket and our train schedule. To no avail, I received a message from them canceling the reserved and confirmed service 1 hr 15 min before our arrival!! This time the excuse was “mechanical problems.” They clearly had no intent in fulfilling the paid service…so I reached out 1 more time to ask “what are we to do ? Could you not find a substitute since you could not fulfill your end of the bargain??” All I got was “sorry” and our refund will be credited in 3-5 days! So now you have my money. I have no transportation and a whole lot of worry I did not need!! I spent hours of my trip trying to resolve this and was quite upset that we have to cancel. 24 hr as in advance but you can cancel on me 1 hour before scheduled!! This is clearly a ZERO rated event! I will say after much debate and canceled Ubers vs taking a metro train with luggage , we took a taxi for E 35 Euro - significantly cheaper than this transport we booked for $156.00!! I have always used La Vacanza Travel and had great experiences but this was an absolute nightmare! Now I am fearful of booking other events given this disastrous one!
