We were lied to. This experience was misadvertised in addition it was awful. It was 13 plus hours not the 11 advertised. Despite best efforts from the group greeting us in Pompeii damage was already done by the 4 hour bus trip with a group of 20ish year olds who were looking for something different. A good tour of Pompeii takes about 3 hours but we had 6+ to kill. The bus stop in Pompeii where you are supposed to show up an hour before pick up back to Rome is a vacant parking lot. You better know what you’re getting into because this tour was not as advertised. I would not recommend this to anyone. Awful!!
Great tour, a little short but that is due to the 3 hour ride from Rome. The tour group picked us up and returned us to the bus station expeditiously and very friendly!
The people were very nice and helpful but information about the trip is sparse or wrong. Other than the address of the large bus station we did not know where to find the bus so make sure to get there early to look around. Our tickets also said the end time was 7 pm but we left Pompeii at 6 and didn’t get back to Rome until 9:30 pm. If you are okay getting to the station early and staying flexible about the ride back this is an okay way to get to Pompeii.
They forgot to mention that you would need to leave your passport or £200 euros to have an electronic tour. We weren’t comfortable with this so we weren’t allowed to have an electronic tour, even though it’s what we paid for. Then they drop you off at a bus stop at half past 4 once the place closes but your bus isn’t booked until 6, which ours never actually arrived until half 6, so we were waiting 2 hours to be taken back home. Only positive is the staff were lovely x
The girls from Touristation recommended this tour for me and my family, I’m so happy they did. It was really worth it! My kids loved it too and was good organized as well. Thank you!
