Stop At: Zhujiajiao Ancient Town, No.36 Meizhou Road, Qingpu District Zhujiajiao Town, Shanghai 201713 China

Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning or afternoon based on your preferred schedule. Transferred by comfortable vehicle to Zhujiajiao, a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was established about 1,700 years ago.

Upon arrival, stroll along the old street and traditional market where you will find many interesting vendors and local specialties. You will also find the best known bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a relaxing boat ride in the water canals, and your friendly private guide will share with you the history and story of the area.

After the tour, your guide will send you back to the hotel in Shanghai city.

We were contacted right away regarding our pickup time. Alana was super helpful with rescheduling our trip since it was raining the day of our trip. We were picked up by Blair as our guide and her driver in a nice car. They took us to our destination and on the way Blair was super nice and knowledgeable about everything there is to know about China and our destination. We had an amazing conversation with her on the way. When arrived to our destination we were given an extremely nice tour and Blair gave us the most incredible tour of the ancient water town of Zhujiajiao. Honestly I didn’t expect this level of professionalism and knowledge. Not to mention she(Blair) spoke perfect English. 10/10 definitely try this tour. (Specially ask for Blair if she is available)

We had a wonderful experience overall and would highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Shanghai. Alana was extremely helpful and accommodating in getting things set up logistically. Our tour guide Caroline as well as our driver were very personable and friendly. Caroline had a ton of knowledge about the history and culture of Zhujiajiao and Shanghai in general — my partner and I learned a ton and find this to be one of the highlights of the experience. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a better tour experience.
