Moulin Rouge Cabaret
You can’t visit Paris and not see the city’s legendary cabaret. Moulin Rouge has been as iconic as the Eiffel Tower and was immortalized on the posters of Toulouse-Lautrec and the movie of the same name starred by Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor.
Located in the district of Pigalle on the 18th arrondissement of Paris, Moulin Rouge is the birthplace of the modern can-can dance and famous for its trademark red windmill.
Unfortunately, the original house was burned down in 1915 but it has been restored to mimic the original design including the iconic windmill. Since it was opened, Moulin Rouge has attracted locals because of its extravagant shows that featured concert dances, comic acts and of course, its can-can dancers.
Today, Moulin Rouge is still one of Paris’ most visited attractions where bus-tour crowds pack the venue to catch the theater’s famous show that includes amazing costumes, beautiful sets, amazing choreography, and stunning can-can dances.
So, if you want to experience Moulin Rouge, it’s smart to book a tour instead of going by yourself to guarantee a seat. You even get to enjoy a good glass of champagne with your tour. Book in advance with La Vacanza and remember to dress appropriately to avoid any problems at the entrance.
