Bus was over 30 minutes late picking up everyone - driver had not thought about increased road traffic to Eid celebrations. We got to the public port and told to run to the public ferry going to the island (less than 5mins before departing the port) and crammed into a boat with hundreds of other people - definitely not a yoat like indicated in the photos. On the island, we had to wait in line for 1.5 hours in the heat to get a electric cart for our tour round the island - this tour only went for 14minutes and had no commentary or tour guide until afterwards, when the group was given a brief speel about the island whilst standing on the crowed street. We had been discouraged from walking around the entire island ourselves instead of waiting for e-cart "as its too big to walk around within the time frame" yet we comfortably walked around half the island within 40minutes. Lunch was dry and not very appetizing. We were then late getting back to the mainland, to the day starting late and then told the big suprise going to the leather shop which most of the group did not want to do and left early, as we had deliberately choosen that day tour as not to go to the leather stop due to other poor reviews of the shop tour with other groups.

Princess Island was a lovely little town that reminded me a lot of our local East coast beach towns (minus the beach). On this tour, the guide’s man job was to get us on the ferry and back—much appreciated since it was our first time in Istanbul and our attempts to learn some “travel” Turkish proved more difficult than we expected. We had plenty of free time on the ferry as well as on the island, so it was a nice way to relax on the last day of our trip.

The tour to Büyükada in Istanbul was fantastic! The hotel transfer was well-organized, and the journey from the hotel to the island was very comfortable. Our guide provided us with interesting information about the island's history and local culture. The meals were delicious, and they took care of our needs throughout the tour. The Büyükada tour in Istanbul was truly enjoyable. They picked us up from the hotel on time and transferred us to the island smoothly. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, explaining the beauty of the island to us. We had plenty of opportunities to take beautiful photos during the tour. Moreover, the lunch was excellent.
