    Excellently staged, must see show for Stranger Things fans. I think you'd still enjoy it if you'd not seen the tv show too but I'm sure you get more out of it if you're a fan. We had good seats near the front of the stalls. My only complaint, the same as whenever I go to the theatre these days is please people stop eating loud food at the theatre, popcorn, maltesers, pringles, wrapped sweets, NO!!!!! And theatres start asking people not to eat in the auditorium, it honestly ruins the atmosphere. It also caused an argument near me because people were finding one group so annoying which detracts from the show.

    I love the going to the Theatre but am unashamedly a musicals girl. However, the geek in me loves Stranger Things so thought I would take a chance on a play. I honestly don’t know where to start with this play is incredible, the special effects and acting are beyond anything I have seen before. If you love Stranger Things you will love this! Highly recommended!

    Hilarious and horrifying in equal measure, this had me and my 12 year old gripped for the full 3 hours! The cast was outstanding and the opening scene was something else. I’d definitely recommend for any Stranger Things fan.

    This is a spoiler free review! Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre in London is a captivating theatrical experience that delves into the mysterious origins of Vecna, the enigmatic antagonist from Netflix's "Stranger Things." As a die hard fan of the series, who shamelessly took part in the secret cinema experience a few years ago, I had to book tickets for this show! With gripping storytelling and immersive stagecraft (very clever use of the rotating stage!), the play brings Henry Creel / Vecna's dark and compelling backstory to life in a way that is both mesmerizing and thought-provoking. Audiences are drawn into a world of suspense and intrigue, where secrets lurk in every shadow and nothing is as it seems. You will notice loads of 'easter eggs' connecting the play to the series. With amazing performances and an enthralling narrative, "The First Shadow" is a must-see for fans of the series and theater enthusiasts alike.

    First with the show: Fantastic prequel to the show, a real visual treat and some fantastic special effects. Immersive theatre at it’s best. Acting was excellent. Sound was great and used effectively. We all really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to any fan of the Netflix show. In terms of the Theatre: nice venue, pleasant staff but seats are quite small so can be uncomfortable if you need leg room.
