    The beauty of both the museum and palace were amazing. Our guide Luis was knowledgeable and professional. However, this tour did not describe that there was a 30 minute walk from one venue to the next. 2 of our group were unable to walk this far and only were able to see the first venue. I suggest a much more detailed description of the tour.

    Guide never showed. No real communication. All DePaseo’s fault. La Vacanza Travel is excellent, but likely needs to drop this subcontract.

    This package consisted of two separate tours. The first stop was the Prado Museum. Our guide Ana was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about the art and the artists, and showed us the most important paintings at the museum while explaining the stories behind and why they were special. We only had 1.5 hours there but we saw the best and learned a lot. The second stop was the Royal palace. It was a bilingual tour. The guide was also informative while adding a sense of humor. The reason I gave only 4 stars was the organization of the tour. The instructions were to look for a tour guide at Prado with a white umbrella. We weren’t able to find our tour guide because she couldn’t get a white umbrella that morning but we didn’t receive further instructions. There also weren’t instructions on meeting the second tour guide so we had to ask the first tour guide to ask the operator for us.

    We loved our early tour with Guia as our guide. We toured treasures with just my husband and myself. We loved it ! She was so knowledgeable and it made the tour special . We connected with every piece personally. Our hotel is walking distance to the Prado Museum and it was just perfect. Our Royal Palace tour was in the afternoon . The guide made extra effort to find us since it was so crowded and chaotic. We were disappointed since it was a bilingual touri instead of English . It felt like we spent more time than necessary on places since the guide had to repeat himself twice. The guide worked double that it did not allow him to add his personality in the tour. It was not his fault since he had to work with what he had to do .

    Laura and Carlos were extremely knowledgeable guides. They answered all of our questions and told us many facts that were otherwise unknown if we just visited on our own. The only issue is that the tour did not clearly state that we had to travel on our own from the Prado Museum to the Royal Palace. It didn’t make a difference in the end but it was a surprise. Overall we highly recommend this tour.
