After morning pickup at your Agra hotel or the train station (where the guide meets you at the main exit gate), relax in a private air-conditioned vehicle and head to a 4-star hotel for a refreshment before visiting the Taj Mahal.
Spend two hours in the morning taking in the World Heritage-listed Taj Mahal, one of India's most famous sites. Then continue to Agra Fort, a red sandstone fort built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D. with a combination of Hindu and Central Asian architectural styles.
At 1pm, stop at a recommended local restaurant for lunch, then return to your vehicle for the 1-hour journey to Fatehpur Sikri. The well-preserved 'ghost town' was built in the late 16th century and abandoned after just 14 years, but many of the beautiful sandstone arches, courtyards, and buildings remain.
Return to Agra by 5:30pm and check out some of the shopping opportunities in Agra, a hub for marble and stone handicrafts, as well as jewellery, embroidery, leather, brass, and carpets.
Your tour ends in the evening with return to your hotel or drop-off at Agra Cantt Railway Station (AGC).
