We did a Jaipur by Dawn tour with Nidhi at the start of April, a trip that took just two hours between 7am - 9am but during which we we experienced so much. We first boarded a local tuk tuk and headed to the Govind Dev Ji Temple in the heart of the city to witness the early morning ceremony along with several thousand devotees. We then moved onto the flower and vegetable markets each with a profusion of activity and colour. After continuing our tour through the narrow streets we ended up with tasty refreshments in a local tea shop. Nidhi was an great guide having excellent local knowledge and a good conversationalist. We enjoyed her company. We would definitely recommend this tour, assuming of course that you can rise relatively early.

Ani, our guide was personable and informative. He is a great storyteller. We saw a very diverse set of places and activities ranging from flower market to Hindu temple, to ‘metal bangers’ and bracelet artists.

This tour was the highlight of our trip to Jaipur! Nidhi was a wonderful guide! We got to experience many pieces of local culture including a temple visit, sampling food, and seeing multiple artisans at work! Nidhi provided multiple recommendations for us when we requested ideas and was such a lovely addition to our trip! I highly recommend any tour you can experience with her.

The heritage walking tour with Nidhi is a must! With this tour you are able to experience the typical morning routine for many Indians. We started off our tour of the Pink City with an auto rickshaw ride and stopped off at a popular temple where the royal family also worship. Here we were able to be a part of morning prayers and witnessed the unveiling of the deity. We then continued on to the local morning market which sold a wide array of fruits, vegetables and even flowers. Nidhi then took us to a very popular food stand where we got chai and the best samosas that I ate on my tour of India thus far. Afterwards we jumped back in the rickshaw to visit the different alleys where we met artisans that hand craft metal bowls (along with other dinning items), bangles etc. My hands are on the bigger side and the bangle maker enlarged the bangle to fit my hand. It was truly a wonderful thing to witness. This has been one of the best tours I’ve been on during my travels in India!!!

This is an excellent walk through parts of Jaipur that you would not normally see. Nidhi gave us some wonderful insights into the history and culture of the city as she led us though the back streets. Seeing artisans and shopkeepers at their normal daily business was priceless, and the chance to try some street food and do some shopping was great. A 5 star experience!
