Reach Agra and First, visit the wonderful Taj Mahal, UNESCO World Heritage site (closed on Fridays). The world's best-known tomb stands testimony to the timeless love story of the 17th century Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan and his queen Mumtaz Mahal.

In the early afternoon, take a break for lunch which will be enjoyed at one of the best local air-conditioned restaurants (meal not include).

Stop At: Agra Fort Rakabgani, Agra 282003 India
Afterward, make your way and visit another UNESCO World Heritage site, Agra Fort. Built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 A.D., this huge fort is made of red sandstone. Walkthrough the maze of the courtyards, mosques and private chambers of the fort which echo the story of the Mughal Empire.

Stop At: Mehtab Bagh, Nagla Devjit Etmadpur, Agra India
Around mid-afternoon, enjoy a photo tour of the Taj Mahal from Mehtab Bagh (own expense) The Moonlight Garden which is believed to have been designed by Shah Jahan to view the Taj on moonlit nights far away from the maddening crowd. The garden complex is situated on the left bank of Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal.

You have the option to enjoy shopping in the early evening in Agra. The city is known for its fabulous handicrafts made of marble and soft stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. Agra's major handicraft products besides inlay work are leather-ware, brass-ware, carpets, jewelry and embroidery work.
