This review was very hard to do due to our experience. During our trip communication was fantastic from the tour operator, email and WhatsApp used. Full itinerary printed off. But we had a big problem! Our driver Abishek, registration KL07 DB 5235 was the worst person we met on our travels through India. He drove like a rally driver through all the picturesque views not stopping on request, only when he felt it helped him or for him to change his music track. When we reached Munnar he told us the tour operator doesn’t put them up in a room and his better guests provide him a room. We went for lunch which he slyly added his bill to mine without asking. The next morning he took us for a tour of Munnar which lasted only 1 hour, saying the scenic tour was over and we would go back to the hotel. We decided to get him to drop us off and do our own tour, which was better just by walking around and getting to see the views. Next day we headed for Thekkady, where his and our trip would end. We arrived at a beautiful hotel Amaana, checked into our run, dropped our bags off, next thing we see is our driver arguing with all the staff. The driver told us we had to leave now as the staff didn’t allow him to stay on the premises. I said I need 10 more minutes and he was escorted out of the property. When we got to the car the hotel manager was there to explain the matter, but our driver continued to argue. We told him to get in the car as we had a private tour booked at the Periyar reserve that we didn’t want to miss. Whilst at the reserve we booked an evening safari, the driver decided he could join us without asking. This was where it all ended for our driver. I explained to him that we didn’t want him with us but he laughed wouldn’t get out the vehicle, he then spoke in his native language to our tour guide and complained we were treating him horrible. The phone call was made to the tour operator and we had a new driver arrive the next morning. The tour operator Nimisha was excellent but the driver let this tour down. So just be careful of this driver if you get a text that he is your driver. Waste of money in the end!

We wish to convey our sincere thanks to Sanguine Holidays for their nice arrangements for our visit to Kerala from 4th October 23 to 9th October 23. The arrangements included transportation, accommodations and one night stay on the boat. We also appreciate the services of Mr. Sumesh, the driver of our vehicle. He not only drove well but also guided us satisfactorily during our entire tour.

Sanguine holidays are amazing. Nimisha handled all the arrangements as per our requirements and within our budget. She was helpful throughout, adapting as we decided to book our own accommodation. Our driver Jolly was so good. He really was an ambassador for Kerala and felt like family by the time we finished. We were sad to say goodbye! There were so many highlights - the houseboat and Munnar; simply everything! This 5 day trip was value for money and I am already planning on contacting Nimisha about booking a trip for our next visit to Kerala. Thank you so much!

We planned out our holidays quite late. We were planning to go via KTDC, but were disappointed as they were booked out. We had already seen reviews on Sanguine and were put at ease after talking with Nimisha and Sumod. Despite the holiday rush over the long weekend 11-16 Aug, they managed to book us into good hotels. They also arranged a driver who could converse in English- this was especially useful as you move away from the main cities. The driver was experienced and the planning of the trip from Sanguine helped us experience some of the raw experiences we were craving from Kerala. I've planned all my trips thus far, and it was my forst time following an itinerary setup by someone else, and I'm glad that I did as it was planned very very well.
