Day 1: MADURAI ARRIVAL AND SIGHTSEEING

Upon your arrival at Madurai Airport/Railway Station, our tour representatives will escort you to your hotel. Rest your bags in your rooms, recharge yourself and get ready to move out for sightseeing in Madurai.
Start the day of sightseeing with the very famous Sri Meenakshi Temple. One of the largest Temples of the World and an Architectural marvel. Over the last 2500 years Madurai Meenakshi Temple has been the lifeline of the City of Madurai. Madurai Meenakshi Temple has played a crucial role in promoting Tamil Art, Music, and Dance & Culture.
After temple sightseeing proceed for Madurai Food tour. This city is multicultural and hence its food is diverse and tempting. This walk takes you into the by lanes which serve the most authentic dishes and drinks of Madurai.

Day 2: MADURAI – CHETTINAD (110 km, 2-3 hrs approx)
Stop At: Vanakkam Madurai, India Book House and Music, No. 14, North Chithirai Street, VP Square, Madurai Main, Poondhotam, Tamil Nadu 625001, India
Morning small excursion Tour called Vanakam Madurai (2hrs) is an interactive walking tour to discover local life at Madurai city. Walking to the narrow lanes of Madurai early in the morning and experiencing real taste of local life. Then transfer to Chettinad. It will take about 2 hours to reach chettinad from Madurai.

Stop At: Devipattinam, Devipattinam, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu
Morning check out from the hotel and drive to Rameswaram (about 4 hours journey). En route visit Devipattanam village Also known as Navapashanam, this holy town is famous for the Navagraha Temple.

Discovery Ramanathaswamy temple, one of the major shrines of South India. The faithful attribute specific qualities to its 22 Theertham (basins), where they bathe and drink water.

After lunch proceeds for Pamban Bridge excursion through a train journey from Mandapam railway station to Rameswaram station to explore Pamban Bridge - The Pamban (Railway Bridge and Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge) connects Mandapam Town in Mainland India with Rameswaram. It was India's first sea bridge and 100years old. The location is also a cyclone-prone, high-wind-velocity zone. It is an Engineering Marvel. Check in hotel and stay at Rameswaram.
